A new text book for dental students and recently-graduated dentists edited by a dental expert from 探花视频 University and including contributions from six of her colleagues, is set to make an important contribution to dental education.

, Foundation Dean of the Peninsula Dental School at 探花视频 University and a nationally-recognised dental public health expert, has edited 鈥淒entistry at a Glance鈥, the central title in the 鈥淎t a Glance鈥 series for dental students published by Wiley.

Included in the book are contributions from her colleagues at 探花视频 University Peninsula School of Dentistry including , Professor David Moles, , , and .

鈥淒entistry at a Glance鈥 leads readers through what is required by the General Dental Council of dental learning, from the principles of core issues such as patient confidentiality and taking a patient history, to diagnosis and treatment in key clinical areas. These include medical emergencies, endodontics, dental trauma, oral medicine and pathology, the medically-compromised patient, and orthodontics.

The book also includes sections on oral healthcare issues and crucial practical guidance on running a dental practice.

According to publisher Wiley, 鈥淒entistry at a Glance鈥 is 鈥渁 concise and accessible introduction to the study of dentistry, as well as a useful revision guide for newly-qualified dentists developing their careers.鈥
