Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, Jane provides executive leadership across 2 directorates and works closely with the SDVC, the URS and the Executive Deans to ensure the growth of student numbers and the increased focus on the reputation and brand of the University. Her key responsibilities include:
- Executive leadership of the directorates of Marketing and Communications and Plymouth Global
- Co-Chair of the Reputation Steering Group
- Chair of the Student Recruitment Committee
- Oversight of the Student Recruitment Life Cycle
- Oversight of Student Admissions
- Oversight of University wide communications to all stakeholders and our engagement with the media
- Oversight of the Alumni Relations and Fundraising team (DARO)
Originally from Cornwall, Jane has spent the last 25 years working in higher education. She has held strategic roles at the Universities of Sheffield and Exeter and rejoins Plymouth for the second time after working in the US and London as the Vice President for Membership, Marketing and Communications at CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education).
Jane is also the senior non exec Director on the Board of Plymouth Argyle Football Club and supports Cornwall Hospice Care as an active fundraiser and on the Income Generation Committee. Living in Falmouth, Jane enjoys watersports and walking.
